Last updated: 20 September 2026
1. Who we are
This privacy notice applies to the WiFiNation Amazon Ads Optimiser, an internal application operated by WiFi Nation Ltd, trading as WiFiNation.
Our contact details are:
WiFi Nation Ltd

L3 4EL Liverpool
United Kingdom
Email: sales@wifination.com
2. Purpose of the application
WiFiNation Amazon Ads Optimiser is an internal business application used to retrieve, analyse and manage WiFiNation’s own advertising campaigns through the Amazon Ads API.
The application is not offered to consumers and does not provide public user accounts.
3. Information we process
When the application is connected to an authorised Amazon Ads account, it may process:
- Amazon Ads account and advertising profile identifiers;
- campaign, ad group, advertisement, keyword and product-targeting information;
- advertising performance data, including impressions, clicks, advertising costs, attributed orders and sales;
- customer search terms reported through Amazon Ads;
- recommendations, proposed campaign changes and change history;
- authentication credentials provided by Amazon, including access and refresh tokens.
The application is not designed to collect Amazon customer names, postal addresses, payment details or order-level customer information.
4. How we use the information
We use this information to:
- monitor the performance of WiFiNation’s Amazon advertising campaigns;
- produce advertising reports and performance analysis;
- identify inefficient advertising spend and optimisation opportunities;
- recommend changes to campaigns, keywords, bids, budgets and targeting;
- implement campaign changes authorised by WiFiNation;
- maintain an audit history of proposed, approved, rejected and completed changes;
- protect the security and reliability of the application.
5. Legal basis
Where the processed information constitutes personal data, we process it on the basis of our legitimate interests in managing, analysing and improving our own advertising activities, maintaining business records and protecting our systems.
Where required by law, we will rely on another appropriate legal basis.
6. Automated analysis and artificial intelligence
Advertising data may be analysed using automated rules and artificial-intelligence services to produce campaign optimisation recommendations.
Material changes to advertising campaigns are subject to human review and approval unless an authorised user has expressly enabled an automatic optimisation rule.
We do not use Amazon Ads data to make decisions concerning consumers or to build individual consumer profiles.
7. Sharing of information
Information may be processed by service providers that support the operation of the application, including hosting, database, security and artificial-intelligence service providers.
We disclose only the information reasonably necessary to provide these services. We do not sell Amazon Ads data or use it for third-party advertising.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.
9. Data retention
We retain advertising data, application records and change history only for as long as reasonably necessary for campaign management, analysis, auditing, security and legal compliance.
Authentication credentials are retained while the Amazon Ads connection remains active. They are deleted or rendered unusable when the connection is permanently removed, unless retention is required for security or legal reasons.
10. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss.
Access to the application and its credentials is restricted to authorised persons. Authentication credentials are treated as confidential and are not intentionally exposed through public interfaces or application logs.
11. Your rights
Where we process personal data relating to you, you may have rights under applicable data-protection law, including rights to:
- request access to your personal data;
- request correction or deletion;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing;
- request transfer of your data;
- complain to a data-protection supervisory authority.
These rights may be subject to legal limitations and exemptions.
To make a request, contact us at sales@wifination.com.
UK residents may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through www.ico.org.uk.
12. Amazon services
The application connects to Amazon Ads through Amazon’s APIs and authentication services. Amazon processes information under its own privacy notices and terms. This notice does not replace or modify Amazon’s privacy practices.
13. Changes to this notice
We may update this privacy notice when the application, its service providers or applicable legal requirements change. The current version will be published at this URL with an updated revision date.
